This is a comfortable beautifully refurbished pet friendly, 3 bedroom house on the popular Picton Terrace overlooking New Quay Harbour, with stunning views of Cardigan Bay and the mountains of Snowdonia. It is less than 5 minutes walk to the beach, pubs and restaurants. Wi Fi provided and one medium or small well behaved dog is welcomed.
Accommodation: The sitting room has 2 leather
sofas, and 32 inch flat screen TV with DVD player. The newly fitted and well
equipped kitchen has an electric double oven and grill with ceramic hob,
family size fridge/freezer, microwave and all the usual small appliances
including a washing machine. The adjacent dining area seats 6, there is
also another TV and a good selection of table games and puzzles. The house is
heated by new digital electric heaters.
Upstairs: There are three bedrooms. Bedroom 1 at the front of the
house is a double bedroom with outstanding panoramic views of Cardigan Bay.
Bedroom 2 is also a double bedroom which is at the rear of the house.
Bedroom 3 also with sea views has bunk beds, the bottom bunk suitable for an
adult.The family bathroom has a newly fitted shower , WC and washbasin. Bed
linen is provided for all beds and are made up for arrival.
Outside: At the front of the house is a bench for sitting out and
enjoying the view of Cardigan Bay, Dolphins and seals can be spotted from
here, especially when the fishing boats are coming in. To the rear of the
house there are steps up to a terraced garden with a rattan furniture
set and coffee table. The garden area is landscaped and has sitting out area
and a picnic table.
Access There is one step from the street into the porch and two more
steps into the house. There are stone steps leading up to the patio area
from the kitchen , which may need extra care in wet weather and for anyone
with limited mobility. The bathroom and all bedrooms are all upstairs, there
is good lighting and access throughout the house, there are no specific
adaptations for anyone who may be mobility impaired. There is a 5 minute
walk to the beach down the footpath near the end of Picton Terrace.

Parking - There is free on-street public parking outside the house.

One well behaved dog welcomed at £5 per night.

New Quay - or 'Cei Newydd', with its picturesque harbour and houses
has a good selection of pubs and restaurants and clings to the sides of the
hills rising above the blue waters of Cardigan Bay on the coast of West
Wales. New Quay’s stone pier has been standing for almost 200 years and is
one of the best places to see the Bottlenose Dolphins for which Cardigan Bay
is famous.
The sheltered harbour and safe beaches are the focus of activity in the
summer when New Quay becomes a bustling and vibrant holiday resort where
boat trips, sailing, fishing, water sports and relaxation, are among the
main attractions. The local area has much to offer with the safe and sandy
beaches of Llangrannog, Tresaith, Penbryn and Mwnt just a short drive away.
Coastal Path: There is a footpath from New Quay to access
the new Ceredigion Coastal Footpath. The path at the end of Lewis
Terrace and will take you to Cwm Tydu and Llangrannog to the south or north
to Aberaeron and eventually to Aberystwyth . Within a short distance,
the path passes Bird Rock or 'Craig Yr Adar' in Welsh. Bird Rock is one
of the ten most important bird colonies in Wales with Guillemots,
Fulmars, Razorbills, Kittiwakes and gulls nesting there. Rare Choughs
and Peregrine Falcons are also frequently seen on this section of the
coastal path. In the poem 'Quite early one morning' Dylan Thomas
mentions the path along the cliffs to the south of New Quay: ' I walked
on to the cliff path again, the town behind and below waking up now so
very slowly; I stopped and turned and looked....'
